Description

The Manufacturing Technician will provide hands-on technical support to Production Operations and Engineering within a high-tech manufacturing environment. This position will assemble, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot electromechanical equipment while resolving product and production equipment issues that impact manufacturing. This is a hands-on second-shift position requiring a technician who can work independently, troubleshoot technical problems, and support continuous improvement and equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, calibrate, and test electromechanical equipment, fixtures, and production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze product and equipment failures that impact production.
  • Monitor production equipment performance and assist with equipment upgrades and improvements.
  • Support preventive maintenance of production equipment.
  • Use technical instrumentation and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot problems.
  • Support hardware and software validation of production equipment before release to operations.
  • Participate in daily production/Gemba reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create and update operating procedures and production documentation.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with Production and Engineering teams.
  • Work within a Class 100 cleanroom environment.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with electromechanical equipment, assembly, calibration, testing, or troubleshooting.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot product and production equipment failures.
  • Proficiency using instrumentation and test equipment such as oscilloscopes and function generators.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Windows and common PC applications.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a Class 100 cleanroom environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • 2-year technical degree in electronics, electromechanical technology, engineering technology, or a related technical field.
  • Manufacturing or production equipment maintenance experience.
  • Experience with equipment calibration and test fixtures.
  • Hardware and software validation experience.
  • Preventive maintenance experience.
  • Experience creating or updating technical procedures and documentation.
  • Experience with Gemba, continuous improvement, or quality improvement initiatives.
