Position Details:
- Title: HVAC Installers & Service Technicians
- Location: Traverse City, MI (serving Grand Traverse, Antrim, Benzie, Kalkaska & Leelanau Counties – Northern Michigan’s scenic lake country)
- Shift: Monday – Thursday on a “4-10s” schedule, typically 7am – 5pm, with overtime work option/potential on Friday, with some on-call work as needed. Full-time, year-round employment with steady work across residential, commercial, and light industrial projects.
- Compensation: $30 – $40+ / hr. DOE. Installers typically range $30–$35 / hr.; Service Technicians $35–$40+ / hr. depending on experience, certifications, and performance.
- Estimated Total Annual Compensation: $62K – $90K+ depending on the role, experience, overtime, and performance incentives – includes company vehicle

Position Description: Our client, a veteran-owned HVAC company serving Northern Michigan, is seeking motivated Installers and Service Technicians to join their high-performing team. Technicians handle service calls, diagnostics, and repairs, while installers perform residential and light commercial HVAC installations. Both roles require craftsmanship, accountability, and customer service excellence). Key responsibilities include:
- Install, service, and maintain furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, mini-splits, and ventilation systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC and electrical issues efficiently.
- Ensure all work meets local codes and safety standards.
- Maintain company vehicle and tools in clean, professional condition.
- Deliver courteous, professional service to homeowners and business clients.
- Support and mentor helpers or apprentices on the team.
Requirements:
· 2+ years experience in HVAC installation or service preferred (will train motivated veterans or mechanically inclined candidates.
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for insurability).
· Must provide personal hand tools (company provides power tools and specialty equipment).
· Strong mechanical aptitude and customer service skills.
· EPA certification and HVAC schooling a plus but not required.
