Maintenance Technician A

This is the highest technical level of the three positions and requires strong mechanical, electrical/electronic and industrial controls knowledge. The technician will independently diagnose equipment failures, perform repairs, support planned and predictive maintenance, work with PLC-controlled equipment and provide technical guidance to other maintenance technicians. Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and support continuous improvement of PM programs.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment failures.
• Use CMMS to manage work orders, maintenance history, reports and asset information.
• Repair print deck components and perform gear and roll changes.
• Calibrate and align optical scanners.
• Wire multitap motors.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and dryer systems.
• Identify broken and worn machine components.
• Perform stick, MIG and TIG welding.
• Perform machining using lathes, Bridgeport's and drill presses.
• Work with computer/PLC machine controls.
• Check PLC inputs and outputs during troubleshooting.
• Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical drawings.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other maintenance technicians. Maintenance Technician A

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of multi-craft manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting capabilities.
• In-depth electrical/electronic knowledge.
• Industrial controls experience.
• Working knowledge of PLC inputs and outputs.
• Strong preventative and predictive maintenance knowledge.
• Ability to systematically diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Strong ability to interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical drawings.
• Welding and machining capabilities.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Ability to work safely around active industrial machinery and lift up to 50 lbs. Maintenance Technician A

• Printing, converting or flexible-packaging manufacturing experience.
