Description
Seeking an experienced Field Service Manager to lead and support our field service operations specializing in variable frequency drives (VFDs), motor control systems, and pumping systems. This role focuses on technical oversight, customer service, field support, and performance management of technicians in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for field service technicians
- Communicate with customers to assess service needs, explain repairs, provide updates, and address questions to ensure satisfaction
- Support technicians in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues involving: VFDs, Motor control systems, Pumps and pumping systems
- Act as escalation point for field issues and provide real-time technical support (onsite or remote)
- Ensure quality of service work, installations, repairs, and maintenance activities
- Monitor technician performance and service quality, providing coaching and feedback
- Conduct field visits as needed to support jobs, audits, and customer relationships
- Train and mentor technicians to improve technical capability and safety compliance
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve technical challenges
- Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and service documentation standards
- Support continuous improvement of field service processes and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of field service supervisory experience
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Strong hands-on experience with: Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Motor control systems, Pumps and pumping systems (industrial, booster, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills (electrical and mechanical systems)
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop technical teams
- Experience working in fast-paced industrial service environments
- Experience with BuildOps is a plus
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally as needed
