Description
This is a hybrid role for an Outside Sales position located in Fort Wayne, IN. The Outside Sales representative will be responsible for meeting with clients, developing new relationships, providing field service, and maintaining excellent customer relationships. Day-to-day tasks include conducting sales presentations, CRM management, managing accounts, providing customer service, and delivering training on product usage. This role aims to expand our market reach and enhance customer satisfaction.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
- Knowledge of Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Defense industries
- PTFE & sealing solution product experience is a plus
- Up to date with industry and economic trends by region of the defense sector
- Experience in Aerospace sales
- DLA/DOD Experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel for client meetings
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with engineering drawings is a plus
- Quality Standard Experience is preferred but not required
- Proven track record of success within the aerospace industry
Responsibilities
- This individual will be responsible for supporting the development of current/new business.
- Understanding, bidding, and reading government contracts/opportunities
- Tracking and making actionable sales recommendations based on internal data
- Development of a sales division
- CRM tracking and actionable lead generation
- Visiting customers/AFBs/businesses to understand their shortcomings/needs better
- Understanding the business's ERP system and be effective in executing tasks within the system.
- Identifying areas to support customers' needs further
- Working on existing quality manuals to improve processes
- Identifying opportunities released into the market and making actionable recommendations to drive business
- Developing and connecting with new and existing contacts to facilitate growth
- Establishes professional and responsive relationships with customers to ensure total customer satisfaction and continued business
- Follows up with customers to ensure the company is meeting or exceeding the service level
- Is a responsible and cooperative team leader with other departments to address and resolve customer problems
- Understands and works within the company's policies and procedures
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the industry
- Other duties as required in support of the company and/or sales division
- Creating an organized workflow to maintain proper tracking of leads and new opportunities
