Facilities Manager
Location: Florence, NJ Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Director, Engineering Services Supervises: Union personnel
About the Role
DC Fabricators, Inc. is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the physical condition, safety, compliance, and operational effectiveness of its industrial manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for managing maintenance personnel across multiple shifts, coordinating facilities projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving efficient, safe facility operations in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
The Facilities Manager ensures that buildings, equipment, utilities, and grounds are maintained to support production needs while maximizing safety, cost-efficiency, and space utilization.
What You’ll Do
- Hire, supervise, and discipline hourly maintenance personnel across 3 shifts
- Plan, schedule, and direct daily work assignments to keep equipment and facilities operating efficiently
- Obtain cost estimates and develop budgets for maintenance and facilities projects
- Schedule and coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance
- Recommend materials and parts to be inventoried
- Maintain all facility and maintenance records
- Coordinate and manage elements of facilities projects (construction, renovations, repairs, new equipment installation)
- Initiate and execute projects that improve safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness while maximizing space utilization
- Provide input on and execute elements of the annual Capital Expenditure (CapEx) budget
- Coordinate emergency repairs and respond to facility issues promptly
- Interface with OSHA, EPA, and state/local regulatory agencies to ensure compliance
- Coordinate employee safety training and promote a safety culture
- Coordinate and oversee contractors performing work on facilities
- Generate purchase requisitions for contractor work and new equipment
- Review contractor proposals, drawings, and specifications prior to awarding work
- Develop project schedules, monitor schedule performance, and track costs
- Negotiate contracts with contractors and service providers
- Coordinate with Facility Security Officer regarding security and surveillance matters
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Must-Have Skills and Experience
- High school or trade school diploma, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy industrial manufacturing or facilities management
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, plumbing, and construction practices
- Understanding of environmental regulations, industrial safety, and OSHA requirements
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- U.S. Citizenship required at time of hire
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience managing union personnel
- Experience with safety audits and training programs
- Knowledge of capital project planning and budgeting
- Familiarity with industrial equipment maintenance and facilities upgrades

Job Type: Full-time | On-site | Monday-Friday, Day Shift (8 hours), on-call and weekends as needed
