About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Production Manager to lead daily operations across our metal fabrication facility. This position oversees production teams, manages workflow across punching, plasma cutting, brake forming, welding, machining, and assembly departments, and ensures all jobs are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate brings extensive hands-on manufacturing experience, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive continuous improvement to support our rapid growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day plant operations and lead all production departments.
- Manage, train, develop, and mentor production personnel; foster a strong team environment.
- Coordinate and expedite multiple concurrent jobs through various fabrication departments.
- Develop and implement workflow policies and procedures focused on efficiency, safety, and quality.
- Support production expansion efforts to meet increasing customer demand.
- Attend weekly production meetings and communicate department updates, challenges, and priorities.
- Track, evaluate, and analyze production data to identify areas for productivity improvement.
- Prepare and deliver accurate daily/weekly production reports.
- Ensure production deadlines, budgets, and quality requirements are consistently met.
- Assess machine and personnel resources to minimize downtime and optimize output.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and quality control to improve processes and document changes.
- Maintain strict adherence to all safety standards and enforce PPE requirements.
- Communicate regularly with executive leadership regarding operational performance, issues, and solutions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of industrial manufacturing experience, including management.
- Strong background in sheet metal and plate fabrication processes, including welding, stamping, punching, bending, and assembly.
- Hands-on understanding of fabrication machinery and equipment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting fabrication drawings.
- Advanced MS Excel skills required.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar engineering software.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong organizational, communication, and logistics management skills.
- Effective team builder with proven leadership and delegation capabilities.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
