Description
The CNC Machine Tool Mechanic / Commissioning / Service Technician is responsible for performing mechanical inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance on large CNC machine tools including vertical lathes, milling machines, and grinders. This role supports the startup, calibration, and optimal performance of precision CNC machinery while working closely with engineers and technicians to improve reliability and efficiency.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in machine tool repair, installation, or CNC equipment maintenance
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read and interpret PLC architecture, technical manuals, and blueprints
• Experience with servo motors, drives, and motion control systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex mechanical and control systems
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively
