Description
In this role you will be responsible for sourcing materials required for production and ensuring timely delivery to the factory to support production schedules and business objectives. This role oversees inventory levels, inventory turns, and supplier on-time delivery to Company's required dates. The position manages Purchasing, Warehouse, Shipping and Receiving, and Planning, including supervision of approximately 20-25 employees. Specific responsibilities include:
- Manages the materials function within Hingham ATS business considering manufacturing capacity, schedules workloads, recommends in house manufacturing vs. outsourcing, quality control and workforce balance.
- Establishes and maintains world-class customer service.
- Leads all Supply Chain Management activities within the factory. This will include establishing preferred supplier selection criteria based on supplier evaluations of price, quality, delivery, certifications, compliance with governmental procurement regulations and group programs.
- Will establish and implement standard/automated re-order procedures. Will develop crisis management and supplier backup contingency programs, in conjunction with Strategic Procurement.
- Responsible for managing the factory operational inventory to ensure adequate stocking levels for immediate production items and forecasting for future requirements.
- Will establish and implement standard/automated delivery procedures for just in time supplier stocking items.
- Responsible for facilitation of the S&OP Process.
- Accountable for managing the factory's overall strategic production planning practices taking into consideration short term/long term production requirements and integrating materials availability.
- Will establish and implement procedures for special order request, and coordinate engineering changes and part substitutions, and sales market demand for products.
- Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development.
- Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
- 5 years of experience of directing a team and 10 years of experience in Materials Management
- ERP (Preferably SAP) experience
- BS in Business, Engineering, or Operations Management (or related course of study) // they will consider other areas of study as well
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
- Lean Six Sigma exposure and understanding, preferred but not required
- Experience with a high-volume manufacturing setting, preferred but not required

Compensation:
First Year Total Comp = $132.5k - 181.5k
Base Salary $125,000 - 165,000
Target Bonus (10%) $12,500 - 16,500
