Description

As a Driver & Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for supporting customer deliveries and warehouse operations with minimal supervision. This role includes driving company vehicles for pick-ups and deliveries, assisting with shipping and receiving, and maintaining organized, safe, and efficient warehouse operations. You will play a key role in providing excellent customer service while ensuring materials and equipment are handled accurately and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and interactions
  • Perform pick-ups and deliveries using company vehicles (including possible overnight travel)
  • Obtain customer signatures upon delivery
  • Safely operate and secure company vehicles
  • Maintain electronic travel logs and DOT documentation
  • Assist with shipping and receiving, including loading and unloading trucks
  • Build shipping pallets for freight and deliveries
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, dolly, lift truck)
  • Move materials between receiving, storage, and shipping areas
  • Sort and organize materials by size, serial number, or product code
  • Assemble customer orders and stage for shipment
  • Label materials with identifying information
  • Open crates, containers, and packaging materials
  • Clean and prepare equipment for sale
  • Record inventory movement using computer systems
  • Assist with physical inventory counts
  • Report defective materials or unsafe conditions to management
  • Perform facility maintenance duties (sweeping, mopping, trash removal, vehicle cleaning)
  • Safely climb ladders to retrieve or organize materials
  • Maintain positive working relationships with customers and coworkers
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and perform basic math
  • Ability to send and receive company emails
  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license with safe driving record (no incidents in past 3 years)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience supporting warehouses, shipping, or logistics operations
  • Forklift or material-handling equipment experience
  • Familiarity with IFTA reporting and fuel trip documentation
