Description

Responsibilities

  • Perform pickups and deliveries to customers using company vehicles
  • Provide professional, customer-focused service during all deliveries and interactions
  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including loading, unloading, and checking in equipment, parts, and supplies
  • Maintain regular communication with Logistics, Management, and facility associates
  • Ensure compliance with all DOT and Federal Motor Carrier regulations, including driver logs, inspection records, permits, and load weight limits
  • Conduct daily vehicle and trailer inspections, including fluid levels, tire pressure, and equipment condition, report issues immediately
  • Adhere, to all safety procedures, traffic laws, and company driving policies
  • Operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, hand trucks, and lift trucks as required
  • Assemble customer orders, stage shipments, and build pallets for transport
  • Maintain cleanliness of facilities and company vehicles
  • Secure company vehicles and trailers during transport and at job sites
  • Obtain required delivery documentation, including signed Bills of Lading (BOLs)
  • Use company credit cards appropriately for approved expenses (fuel, lodging, etc.)
  • Complete required DOT, safety, and HSI training
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education

  • Valid CDL license with a safe driving record
  • Current DOT physical in accordance with Department of Transportation regulations
  • Ability to pass required random drug testing
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to use basic math and company email systems
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Understanding of DOT driving regulations, route compliance, and safety standards

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience supporting warehouses, shipping, or logistics operations
  • Forklift or material-handling equipment experience
  • Familiarity with IFTA reporting and fuel trip documentation
