Electrician

Description

As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures electrical systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local and national electrical codes, company standards, and regulatory requirements. You will support daily operations by executing electrical installations, troubleshooting issues, maintaining safe work practices, and contributing to overall facility organization and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Work a standard 40-hour workweek with overtime as required
• Install new or modified electrical systems in compliance with local and national electrical codes
• Plan electrical installations to minimize material waste and ensure safe, accessible, and reliable wiring
• Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and written specifications
• Apply journeyman-level electrical skills to install and repair electrical systems
• Perform basic mechanical diagnostics related to HVAC, refrigeration, or other equipment as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the electrical shop and facility
• Ensure all work sites are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Demonstrate safe work habits and proper use and care of tools and equipment
• Complete required documentation and paperwork accurately and on time
• Adhere to OSHA, Hazard Communication (Haz-Com), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and Confined Space policies
• Attend required training and continuing education sessions
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on project or operational needs

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education

• High School Diploma, vocational/technical training, or equivalent
• 0-10 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience (all levels considered)
• Ability to work with both high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems
• Ability to lift, up to 50 lbs. and remain standing or moving for 8+ hours per day
• Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Manufacturing or industrial facility electrical experience
• Journeyman Electrician license or progress toward licensure
• Mechanical or HVAC troubleshooting exposure
• Experience working in regulated or safety-critical environments
