Description

The Electrical Engineer III will lead the design, development, integration, and validation of embedded electrical systems for complex, high-reliability products. This role is responsible for electrical system architecture, schematic development, PCB design and layout, testing, troubleshooting, and system integration while ensuring compliance with military and industry standards. The engineer will collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical components into complete systems. Responsibilities also include supporting prototype builds, conducting failure analysis and root cause investigations, maintaining detailed technical documentation, mentoring junior engineers, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across electrical designs, processes, and technologies in a fast-paced, on-site engineering environment.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 3–5 years of electrical engineering experience in embedded or high-reliability systems
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design and embedded electrical systems
• Experience designing and reviewing schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts
• Familiarity with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle, or similar)
• Experience with electrical testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, power supplies)
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally with mechanical, software, and systems engineers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Requirements:
• U.S. citizenship required due to access-controlled work
• Ability to work onsite in Moore County, NC
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet aggressive schedules
• Willingness to support prototype builds, testing, and field troubleshooting as needed
• Ability to maintain detailed technical documentation and revision control

Nice-to-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
• Experience in defense, aerospace, or other regulated industries
• Familiarity with MIL-STD and IPC standards
• Experience with embedded systems programming (C/C++)
• Experience with signal integrity, power management, and thermal design
• Experience mentoring or leading junior engineers
• Experience supporting production, qualification testing, or fielded systems
