Description
We are pioneering next-generation uranium enrichment technology that will shape the future of clean energy and national security. As a Nuclear Facility Equipment Operator, you will play a critical role in the safe and efficient operation of enrichment systems under NRC regulations and facility procedures. Working under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, you will monitor, control, and operate plant systems to maintain safe, compliant, and continuous operations. This hands-on position is essential to supporting plant performance and achieving operational milestones.
- Operate, monitor, and control UF6 enrichment equipment.
- Start and stop plant systems as required for operations.
- Monitor operating parameters and respond to alarms in compliance with facility procedures.
- Record and analyze operational data to support engineering and safety reviews.
- Perform administrative tasks including shift turnovers, logs, and reporting.
- Support NRC compliance and conduct-of-operations standards.
- Respond to facility transients and assist in mitigation efforts.
- Support equipment maintenance and commissioning activities.
- Participate in lockout/tagout procedures, corrective action programs, and procedure improvements.
- Actively engage in initial and continuing training to maintain station qualifications.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant plant operations experience (nuclear power, Navy Nuclear propulsion, or similar).
- Active DOE/NRC Q-Clearance or DoD Top Secret clearance required.
- Strong understanding of nuclear plant systems and radiological safety procedures.
- Ability to read and follow technical procedures, logs, and schematics.
- Skilled in troubleshooting equipment and identifying maintenance needs.
- Excellent attention to detail and procedural compliance.
- Willingness to work shift schedules, extended hours, and rotating shifts as required.
Nice-to-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
- Prior experience as a nuclear operator or in a highly regulated environment.
- Familiarity with human performance tools and conduct-of-operations principles.
- Experience supporting system commissioning and modification activities.
- Associate degree.
