Integrated Supply Chain Supervisor

South Central
US Army, O-2

I tried getting myself hired on the civilian side for almost two years. After actively working with Orion for less than a month, I received a job offer. "Nuff said." Chris Davis was INSTRUMENTAL in getting me a second look by Honeywell. If not for him reviewing the notes from the interview and calling me to ask me to reconsider relocating, I would surely have missed this opportunity. He took extra steps to get me a second round interview which "sealed the deal" with a job offer being presented only two days later.

Chris was great, and I hope to have my wife work with him in the coming months. He provided quick responses to questions, gave useful feedback for interview preparation, and was always easily reached via phone. In fact every Orion person I encountered at the Dallas conference was very helpful, knowledgeable, and conveyed a feeling that their ultimate goal was to help each one of us get hired.

In my civilian position, I am in charge of 20 technicians who are responsible for the repair and overhaul of airplane flight deck instruments. For the last several years I have been an Infantry Battalion Communications Officer (S-6).  The experience garnered during this time was paramount to being hired with my current civilian employer. I led small teams of up to 20 Soldiers in a fluid environment where each day was different from the next, ensuring priorities were set and tasks were completed on time and to standard. Each of these is directly relatable to what I do for my civilian employer. Without those experiences, I would not have been considered for this position.

Orion exceeded my needs and expectations. I came in expecting it to be like every other job placement service and be handed a list of open positions and asked which I was interested in. Orion did a great job of pre-screening applicants to best match not only the position, but the company, too. My current position truly is a perfect fit. Orion has a system in place that works very well and people who go out of their way to ensure their candidates are prepared for all steps of the job process (resume, interviews, job offer, etc).
