Store Manager

Midwest
US Army, O-3

I graduated from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, in May 2001, and then entered the Army. I was a Battalion S4 in Transportation, and separated from the Army as a Captain in July 2006. I began looking for jobs in December 2005, and was called by a recruiter from Orion’s Cincinnati office. I was treated well bymy recruiters; both were friendly and helpful. They listened well, I was never rushed and all of my concerns and questions were always answered. I attended a hiring conference in Chicago in March 2006, and, after follow up interviews with several companies, I accepted position as a Store Coach in Training for Kmart. It was not where I initially saw myself, but after interviewing with Kmart and meeting with the managers, I was impressed with them and the company.

I dealt with one other JMO recruiter, and by far, Orion was better. You guys showed a genuine interest in me and remembered who I was. The other JMO recruiter did not return calls and didn’t seem interested. Coming from the military, the civilian job search was an overwhelming process, but Orion helped ease the search and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a job.
