Service Technician

South Central
US Navy, E-5

I separated from the military in March 2000, although I only started looking for employment through Orion after my civilian employer closed our field service office December 2008.  I had worked with that same company ever since leaving the military.

I began working with Orion after meeting with them at a job fair in Texas. Doug Bell, by recruiter, treated me very well.  He looked out for me extensively and has always kept in close contact with me via email and by phone.  He most definitely listened to me and took all my needs into consideration, especially when it came to my family and attending school full time.

Orion provided me with resume assistance, as well as help with the interview process.  The Orion reps also did a great job of providing feedback during mock interviews prior to the actual interviews.  Thanks to Orion, I am now a contractor working on blades that are used in the wind turbine industry. Even during this tough job market, Doug has been persistent in assisting me obtain employment.

While I did work with other recruiting agencies, Orion was the only organization that kept in close contact with me throughout the entire process, from start to finish.  Other organizations place a limitation on who they would assist based on how long they had been out of the service.  I didn’t experience this with Orion.  The organization assisted me regardless.

I would like to add that all of the Orion representatives that I was involved with showed great interest in assisting me with my employment search.  I would like to extend a personal thanks to Doug.  He was quick to provide feedback and assist me from the get-go when I approached his booth at the job fair without a resume.  It took only a few minutes upon completing my resume on the Orion webpage before I was contacted by Doug.
