Project Manager

West
US Navy, O-3

When I left the Navy in 2004, I worked for an environmental consulting company for a year, but then decided to take a year off to figure out what I really wanted to do. After that, I worked as an operations manager for a small property investment company, but this wasn’t the right fit either. So, I decided to look for a Project Manager position within the construction industry and began looking for a job around June 2007. I was looking on my own with virtually no success.

My whole experience with Orion International was really outstanding. I didn't feel like a product to be sold. My recruiters made their recommendations based on what I was looking for, where I wanted to live, and many other preferences that we discussed. If I didn't like a company, we kept looking. I was really impressed and pleased with everyone at Orion.

I attended two hiring conferences. I had several second interviews from both conferences. The guys from Orion were there the whole way to answer any questions I had and give advice about situations that may come up. I am now a Project Manager at Kroger in their Western Division Facility Engineering Office. We manage store renovations and new-store construction projects. This job is exactly what I was looking for. The company is great, the people are awesome, and the job is fun.

I would probably still be looking through the thousands of job postings if I hadn’t begun to work with Orion. I have used other recruiters in the past, and Orion is definitely number one in my book. I felt that the recruiters genuinely cared about placing me at a company where I would succeed and enjoy what I was doing. Thanks for everything!!!
