Truthfully, I was downright skeptical. I had tried for over a year-and-a-half on my own to secure myself a position in the civilian job market that positioned me on par with my 13 years of military leadership experience. To no avail. Truth was, I couldn't connect myself to an employer who understood how my job skills translated, or I couldn't explain it them in a way that showed my potential value to them as a prospective employee.

I had been associated with Orion for quite some time, but never really took the leap to explore what they were offering. Here was the skeptical part of me coming out. I was always told if it was too good to be true...it usually was too good to be true! Then one day I took the offer to attend The Orion Columbus Ohio Hiring Conference.

First I will say I was an absolute fool for not doing this sooner! The conference exceeded my expectations in every way. The interview preparation day was spot on and really prepared me for the next day's expectations, but the biggest surprise was the Orion staff. They truly lived up to what they say they do, which was making themselves available for advice, preparation, and strategy the entire time. The best part was they were absolutely straight-forward, did not sway you in any certain direction, and genuinely showed concern in helping you put forth your best foot possible to your next potential employer. All in all, the environment was very professional and mutually conducive for everyone in attendance.

By the end of my first conference, I was invited to a second interview, toured the facility of the employer, and by the end of the week given an offer. Orion International lived up to their word and reputation. I have now successfully moved forward into the next step of my life thanks to this great organization.
