Description

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree, military technical training, or trade school certification preferred.
- One of the following:
- 2-4 years of field service, industrial maintenance, electronics, mechanical repair, biomedical equipment, military technical, or similar technical experience.
- Associate degree or technical certification with at least one year of hands-on technical experience (internships and apprenticeships considered).
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service documentation, and equipment procedures.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to operate personal or rental vehicles.
- Proof of automobile liability insurance.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory (up to 100%).
Requirements:
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain specialized medical equipment at customer sites.
- Perform preventative maintenance, Field Modification Instructions (FMIs), equipment upgrades, recalls, and warranty repairs.
- Complete equipment calibration, testing, and performance verification to manufacturer specifications.
- Install software updates and firmware revisions on Maternal Infant Care equipment, including fetal monitors and Giraffe OmniBeds.
- Document service activities, repairs, parts usage, and customer interactions using ServiceMax.
- Travel throughout the assigned territory to complete scheduled service calls.
- Provide professional technical support while developing strong customer relationships.
- Safely utilize diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and manufacturer service procedures.
- Coordinate with dispatch and technical support teams to complete work orders efficiently.
- Maintain company quality, safety, and documentation standards.
- Lift up to 50 pounds and move equipment weighing up to 125 pounds with appropriate assistance.
Nice-to-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Biomedical equipment or medical device experience.
- Military technical backgrounds including:
- Electronics
- Biomedical Equipment
- Avionics
- Communications
- Nuclear
- Maintenance
- Experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, mechanical, or electromechanical systems.
- Preventive maintenance and calibration experience.
- Experience using CMMS or service management software.
- Customer-facing field service experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a desire to learn new technologies.
- Interest in building a long-term career in healthcare technology.
