Orion Talent is currently recruiting transitioning or former military personnel for Maintenance Technician positions with GLOBALFOUNDRIES.

GLOBALFOUNDRIES is the world's first full-service semiconductor foundry with a truly global manufacturing and technology footprint and is currently executing its vision to reshape the semiconductor industry through collaboration and innovation. Investing in the most advanced and sophisticated equipment and processes to ensure the highest degrees of quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness for its customers, GLOBALFOUNDRIES consistently produces wafers with industry-leading yield and defect performance.

GLOBALFOUNDRIES is based in Silicon Valley with manufacturing operations in Dresden, Germany; Malta, NY, and Singapore. These sites are then supported by a global network of R&D design enablement, and customer support operations in Singapore, China, Taiwan, Japan, the United States, Germany, and the Netherlands. GLOBALFOUNDRIES has quickly differentiated itself through collaboration both with technology partners and customers, to develop and produce the semiconductors that are changing the ways to live, work, and play.

The Site Location - Fab 8 Overview

The Fab 8 campus is located in Malta, NY approximately 20 miles north of Albany in Saratoga County, New York on 222 acres within the 1,400-acre Luther Forest Technology Campus. The site is zoned for up to three state-of-the-art fabs. It is here that GLOBALFOUNDRIES envisions targeting billions of dollars to support a bold new strategy for advanced semiconductor manufacturing.

Fab 8 is built in the center of what has been described as New York's "Tech Valley:" a 19-county region of eastern New York State that spans from just south of Montreal to just north of New York City. Today, more than 200 high-tech businesses have a presence in the Tech Valley. Because the nature of nanotechnology and semiconductor manufacturing is extremely complex and requires a high degree of collaboration within the industry and academic environments, this semiconductor ecosystem in Tech Valley is critical to the success of any new wafer fab.
