Description

As a Maintenance Planner, you will plan, coordinate, and continuously improve maintenance and reliability activities at a power generation facility. You will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement, and contractors to ensure preventive, predictive, corrective, and outage work is properly scoped, prioritized, resourced, scheduled, and executed.

This is a technical maintenance planning role requiring an understanding of how maintenance work is performed in a power generation, process manufacturing, utilities, heavy industrial, or similar continuous-operation environment. You will develop executable job plans, coordinate labor and materials, manage maintenance backlogs and work orders, and support both planned and forced outages.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Minimum 5 years of power plant or industrial maintenance experience, including maintenance planning and scheduling responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of plant maintenance, equipment reliability, and outage execution
  • Experience in power generation, process manufacturing, utilities, heavy industrial, or a comparable continuous-operation environment
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems
  • Experience developing detailed maintenance job plans and work packages
  • Experience coordinating labor, materials, tools, equipment, contractors, and other maintenance resources
  • Experience planning preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance
  • Proficiency with CMMS/work-management systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to analyze maintenance issues, establish priorities, and develop corrective-action plans
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong cross-functional coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and changing plant conditions with minimal supervision
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical discipline
  • Power generation or steam plant experience
  • Chemical/process, mining, pulp and paper, steel, utilities, or other continuous-process plant experience
  • Experience planning major outages, turnarounds, shutdowns, or forced outages
  • Reliability program experience
  • Preventive and predictive maintenance program experience
  • Root cause analysis experience
  • Experience developing or tracking maintenance KPIs
  • Experience supporting maintenance and outage budgets
  • Capital project planning experience
  • Procurement and spare-parts coordination experience
  • Contractor management experience
  • Military maintenance planning, engineering, power generation, shipboard, aviation maintenance control, or comparable technical planning experience
