Description
As an HVAC Maintenance Technician, you will support the repair, maintenance, and reliability of HVAC and refrigeration systems supporting a high-tech manufacturing facility.
This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving technical problems, and working in a fast-paced production environment. You will work both independently and alongside facilities and maintenance teams to ensure critical HVAC equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational.
Responsibilities
- Perform repair, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on production HVAC systems and associated support equipment.
- Maintain rooftop packaged AC units, split systems, air handlers, and make-up air/HVAC units.
- Diagnose HVAC and refrigeration equipment problems and complete necessary repairs.
- Support the continued reliability and availability of facility equipment.
- Communicate with internal customers and management regarding equipment maintenance, repairs, and planning.
- Coordinate with other maintenance personnel through meetings and digital shift pass-downs.
- Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history within the CMMS.
- Follow established safety procedures and contribute to a strong culture of workplace safety.
- Respond outside normal business hours when necessary to support facility operations.
- Perform additional maintenance duties and assignments as required by management.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
- Strong hands-on knowledge of refrigeration equipment and systems.
- Previous industrial maintenance experience.
- Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting HVAC equipment.
- Experience with equipment such as rooftop packaged AC units, split systems, air handlers, and/or make-up air units.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability and willingness to respond outside normal business hours when required.
- Ability to safely use ladders and lifts.
- Ability to regularly walk, climb, bend, and perform physically demanding maintenance work.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Strong commitment to workplace and equipment safety.
Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience
- HVAC maintenance experience within a manufacturing, semiconductor, industrial, or other critical facility environment.
- Experience troubleshooting commercial or industrial refrigeration systems.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance experience on large commercial HVAC equipment.
- Experience working with CMMS maintenance management systems.
- Experience reading HVAC/mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Electrical troubleshooting experience related to HVAC equipment, motors, controls, and associated systems.
- Experience supporting 24/7 manufacturing or critical facility operations.
- Military experience involving HVAC/R, refrigeration, utilities, facilities maintenance, or mechanical systems.
