Job Description
Go to end ⇓The Quality / EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance systems and environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations. This role will report to the VP of Engineering and will play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence.
- Develop and maintain ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management systems.
- Lead internal and external audits; manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor product and process quality metrics; drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the production lifecycle.
- Manage document control and quality training programs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors.
- Maintain safety data sheets (SDS) and hazardous materials documentation.
- Lead emergency preparedness and response planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or 7+ years equivalent work experience.
- Certifications in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001, CQE) preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience in a Quality Department, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in product testing, inspection, and quality audits.
- Knowledge of data analysis tools for identifying trends and discrepancies.
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, inspection methods, and measurement techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge of UL standards (UL 891, UL 1558, UL 67, UL 857, UL 1008, UL 62368/60950) preferred but not required.
