Job Description

Title: Building Engineer (3 openings)
Location: Redmond Washington
Shift: First shift, Second Shift, and Third shift available
Compensation: $72k-$85K
Benefits: - Benefits start 1st of the month following your hire date: Standard medical, dental, vision, 401k matching ½ of 1% up to 6%, PTO program, uniforms and tools are paid for. First year of employment - 15 Days of PTO. Year 1 - 4 of employment 20 days of PTO. Internal advancement available after 6 month mark
Travel: 10% or less usually, more would be needed in the event of emergencies, not a requirement.

Position Description:
As a Building Engineer you will preform preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs and installations of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and/or HVAC/R (refrigeration) equipment, machinery and controls located in the interior and exterior of buildings.

Responsibilities:
• Follows all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Operates, maintains, monitors, and performs preventive and predictive maintenance on building equipment, which may include: mechanical/HVAC-R/plumbing systems, electrical/cabling, fire detection and suppression, life safety, lighting, temperature control systems, building management systems, and digital systems.
• Maintains the professional appearances of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and common areas.
• Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.
• Prepares estimates detailing the amount of time and materials needed for completing tasks. Maintains adequate supplies and tools and orders vital materials to finish the tasks.
• Maintains an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum.
• Coordinates and inspects the work performed by outside contractors. Contracted work may include landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC/R, plumbing, and cleaning.
• Performs niche and sophisticated tasks such as carpentry, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC, welding, furniture assembly/relocation and locksmith tasks. Performs inspection of building systems including fire alarms, HVAC/R, plumbing and electrical.
• Uses PC and/or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training. Responds to emergency situations and customer concerns.
• Performs general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements:
• High school diploma/GED
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record with periodic checks and be able to fully operate a full size van/truck
• CFC certification, 01 or 06 electrical license and/or other certifications and trade licensing preferred
• Minimum of ten (10) years experience in electrical systems and HVAC or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Stationary Engineering experience that focuses heavily on HVAC and Electrical.
