Position Title: Field Service Engineer, Power Control Equipment
Location: Dallas, TX
Compensation: $75,000–$85,000 base salary + travel & overtime | 1st Year Avg: $125K+ | 2nd Year & Beyond: $200K+

Position Description:
Seeking a Field Service Engineer to support critical power facilities. This is a hands-on, service-oriented role focused on startup, modifications, warranty work, and emergency service of automatic transfer switches. Ideal for candidates looking to grow into advanced engineering positions.
Responsibilities:
  • Carry a cell phone and be on-call 24/7
  • Conduct startup, warranty, and service work for automatic transfer switches
  • Perform preventive maintenance and remedial repairs
  • Ensure safety compliance across all field operations
  • Communicate with clients in a highly professional and service-oriented manner
  • Identify and negotiate scope changes or additional charges with clients
  • Strict adherence to all regulatory standards and protocols
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in:
    • Field Service Engineering
    • Electrical power systems (low to medium voltage switchgear) in mission-critical environments (e.g., data centers, airports)
    • Automatic transfer switch testing
    • Reading power control and automation schematics/blueprints
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards
  • Strong client service, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Preferred:
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Excellent time management and follow-up skills
  • Solid understanding of power distribution, DC/AC systems, circuit theory, and troubleshooting
