Job Description

The successful applicant will execute second level MRI Magnet Support, service and repair functions at customer sites with minimal supervision. Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers, peers and vendors, while performing necessary administrative duties timely and accurately.

Location: East Region (Philadelphia, Baltimore, Norfolk/Virginia Beach)
Shift: Monday – Friday, 10am – 7pm (with the potential for shifting your schedule from Noon – 9pm at some point, these shift schedules come with 10% and 15% shift differentials respectively)
Compensation:

  • First Year Total Comp = $119k – $152k
    • Base Payrate: $70,000 – $85,000
    • Average OT (25 – 30%): $26,250 – $38,250
    • Shift Differential (10 – 15%): $7,000 – $12,750
    • 5% Target Bonus: $3,500 – $4,250
    • Annual Value of Company Car: $12,000
    • Total: $118,750 – $152,250

Travel:
Travel is an essential requirement for this position. You will travel regularly (75–80% during the week) throughout the U.S. (regionally focused as much as possible to minimize travel), with occasional international travel. You must be available for off-hours and weekend service, as necessary. Candidates need a valid passport (initial training is held in England).


Position Description:
The successful applicant will execute second-level MRI Magnet Support, service, and repair functions at customer sites with minimal supervision. You will establish and maintain strong working relationships with customers, peers, and vendors while performing necessary administrative duties accurately and on time.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate own travel to meet on-site maintenance, installation, service, or repair schedules for Super Conducting MRI Magnets.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal partners.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance to maintain customer uptime.
  • Conduct semi-complex mechanical and electrical troubleshooting/repairs on Super Conducting Magnets, identifying failure modes and performing root cause analysis.
  • Safely handle and transfer cryogenic gases such as liquid helium or nitrogen.
  • Respond to second-level service calls and support product/equipment performance assessments.
  • Maintain tools and test equipment, complying with calibration processes.
  • Provide feedback and ideas for continuous improvement (process, product, customer experience).


Requirements:
  • Strong electromechanical and/or electronic systems knowledge with troubleshooting/repair expertise.
  • Excellent customer service skills: relationship development, conflict management, active listening, problem solving, and communication.
  • Ability to interpret system schematics and flowcharts.
  • High mechanical aptitude with the ability to visualize and clearly explain technical issues/resolutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, and PC skills.
  • Field service experience with heavy travel a plus.
