Position Details:
• Title: Nuclear Technician (mobile)
• Location: Leesburg, FL
• Travel: Approximate coverage is 2-hour radius from home office in Leesburg daily
• Schedule: Mon-Fri, start time dependent on daily schedule provided
o Daily flexibility needed days can be 8-12 hours, but other days may be none)
o Some days may have no patient assignments, but the full week is paid
o All travel time is paid, beginning and ending at the truck pickup site
• Compensation: $75,000-$90,000
o Bonuses/Additional Compensation: potential for patient-based spot bonuses (details to be formalized)

Position Description: This role requires technical expertise, commitment to safety, and strong interpersonal skills. You will be using the MaiCam 180, a nuclear cardiac imaging system (SPECT – Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography) that utilizes radioactive tracers like technetium and thallium. The responsibilities align directly with a Nuclear Technician's training in radiopharmaceutical handling and nuclear imaging operations.
Equipment:
• Operate and transport the mobile MaiCam 180 SPECT gamma camera system
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to safety standards
• Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain image quality
• Use a van-mounted lift to handle a 1,200–1,400 lb gamma camera safely
• Work independently while maintaining professionalism and patient care
• Complete required documentation and perform routine equipment checks
In order to be successful in this role, a Nuclear Technician must be highly dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently in the field. Strong attention to detail, comfort with handling radiopharmaceuticals, and the physical ability to manage heavy imaging equipment like the MaiCam 180 are essential. A background in nuclear medicine—ideally with military or clinical experience—will support your ability to deliver high-quality patient care and operate advanced imaging systems. Flexibility, professionalism, and strong communication skills will help ensure a seamless experience for both patients and partnering medical offices.
Requirements:
• Associate degree (civilian or military equivalent)
• Meets Florida nuclear medicine licensure requirements and can apply upon offer
• Valid driver’s license with clean record
• Physical ability to lift, move, and manage heavy imaging equipment
