Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable On-Site Air Separation Plant Technician to support daily operations of nitrogen-producing facilities serving customers in the Essex Junction, VT area. This hands-on role involves operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining process equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant performance.
We are seeking a dependable On-Site Air Separation Plant Technician to support daily operations of nitrogen-producing facilities serving customers in the Essex Junction, VT area. This hands-on role involves operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining process equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant performance.
You’ll work independently while collaborating with a support team of engineers and technical staff. A strong background in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or process control systems is ideal—especially from industries like HVAC, industrial maintenance, or military engineering.
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintain safety, quality, and compliance standards at assigned sites
- Operate and service plant equipment including compressors, gas analyzers, control systems, and pneumatic valves
- Diagnose and resolve system faults to maximize uptime
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for maintenance and audits
- Document all maintenance and compliance activities in system logs
- Support training of new team members
- Respond to emergencies and provide occasional support at other sites
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in at least one of the following:
- Air separation or similar process systems
- Industrial mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation maintenance
- HVAC or military engineering (e.g., Machinist Mates, Electrician Mates, Gas Turbine Technicians)
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer use; familiarity with FIX 32 or similar process control software is a plus
- Effective communication and time management skills
- Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs, climbing ladders/stairs, and working in variable weather
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
