Position Description:
The Electrical Technician is responsible for performing electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment and systems at Searles Valley Minerals’ production facility. This hands-on role supports plant operations by ensuring electrical systems and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial systems and equipment.
- Work safely with high-voltage equipment and components.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical malfunctions in motors, control panels, transformers, switchgear, and other plant equipment
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensure all work complies with company safety policies and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Strong foundation in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience working safely with high-voltage equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Prior industrial or manufacturing experience preferred.
