Job Description
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated instruments used in histology, cytology, and hematology
• Perform field service, installation, and evaluations at customer sites
• Conduct instrument inspections, testing, and decontamination in compliance with biohazard and electrical safety standards
• Provide technical support to Field Service Technicians, BMETs, and internal teams
• Train technicians and other personnel on installation, repair, testing, and decontamination procedures
• Develop and update service manuals and conduct on-site and off-site training sessions
• Document service reports and draft service bulletins in compliance with FDA regulations
• Coordinate product feedback with Manufacturing and Product Development teams
• Analyze service failures and prepare comprehensive reports
• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 certification standards
• Maintain safe, organized, and professional work environment
• Support special projects, process improvements, and other assignments as directed
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
• 3+ years of field service experience on electromechanical equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for complex instrumentation
• Ability to perform electrical safety tests and instrument decontamination
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Willingness to travel up to 75% domestically
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently
• Ability to lift, stand, and work with tools and equipment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to train and guide other technicians or personnel
• Maintain professional and safe conduct at all customer sites
Nice-to-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
• Experience in histology, cytology, or hematology instrumentation
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA compliance standards
• Prior experience training Field Service Technicians or other technical staff
• Experience with service bulletins, product feedback, or quality reporting
