Position: Customer Service Engineer
Location: Madison, WI
Shift: Mon–Fri, 12?pm–9?pm (initial training M–F, 8?am–5?pm; shift differential of 15% applies to delayed shift)
Compensation: First-year total comp $106.5k–$120k (Base $70k–$80k + 10% avg. OT + 15% shift diff. + 5% bonus + company car value)

Travel: Regular regional travel within a 2-hour radius of Madison; must be available for occasional off-hours and weekend support.
Role Overview:
As a Customer Service Engineer, you will install, service, maintain, and repair complex equipment at customer sites. You will deliver prompt, effective technical solutions, provide on-site user training, and ensure customer satisfaction by minimizing downtime. You’ll coordinate closely with technical, sales, and customer care teams while managing financial performance for your territory.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain designated systems (mechanical, electronic, optical).
  • Deliver high-level customer support and on-site training post-install.
  • Perform warranty/maintenance work and assist with clinical field trials.
  • Maintain service documentation and recommend updates to manuals.
  • Manage territory performance: service revenue, expenses, and inventory.
  • Build customer trust through professional communication and relationship management.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in electronic systems troubleshooting, repair, and schematics interpretation.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude; ability to explain technical details clearly.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficient with PC tools and service documentation.
  • Bio-Medical field experience is a plus, but not required.
