Job Description
Title: Field Service Engineer – Data Center Power Distribution Equipment Start Date: September 2025 Locations: Multiple Locations Shift: 1st Shift | Mon–Fri, 7 AM–4 PM | Weekends are overtime Compensation:
Level 1: $90K–$105K + OT
Level 2: $110K–$130K + OT Benefits: Full benefits package Travel: ~50% overnight travel (regional/local)
Position Overview: Join a growing team supporting installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of low-voltage power distribution systems at mission-critical data centers. This field-based role provides technical expertise for equipment such as switchboards, PDUs, RPPs, ATSs, and STSs.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise installation and perform testing, commissioning, maintenance, and repairs
Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documents
Prepare technical reports and maintain service records
Attend site meetings and coordinate with project managers and site personnel
Deliver high-level customer service and ensure compliance with safety standards
Manage spare parts, tools, and test equipment
Communicate regularly with internal project and engineering teams
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in electrical power distribution or 5+ years relevant experience
Military background in electrical/power systems strongly preferred
Experience with mission-critical/data center power distribution highly desirable
Hands-on experience with low-voltage power equipment (switchboards, PDUs, ATSs, etc.)
Knowledge of UL standards (UL67, UL1008, UL891, etc.), NEC, and NFPA 70E
Familiarity with AC/DC power, power monitoring systems, and communication protocols
Proficient with test instruments (multimeters, clamp meters)
Strong troubleshooting and independent work skills in the field
