Position Overview:
As an Operations Manager, you’ll oversee daily operations and personnel management for an assigned department, supervising a team of approximately 30–40 exempt and non-exempt employees. You’ll ensure production goals are met safely and efficiently while driving process improvements, controlling labor and material costs, and coordinating with Maintenance, HR, and senior leadership as needed.

You’ll ensure production goals are met safely and efficiently while driving process improvements, controlling labor and material costs, and coordinating with Maintenance, HR, and senior leadership as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and manage departmental operations and workforce.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of processes and equipment; recommend improvements.
- Control labor and material costs to align with budgets.
- Coordinate with Maintenance to address equipment issues and schedule downtime as needed.
- Lead staffing activities including interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and discipline, in collaboration with HR and the General Manager.
- Enforce company policies, rules, and procedures.
- Identify operational challenges, allocate resources, and implement solutions to meet production targets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
- Minimum 6 years of direct leadership experience in a technical or manufacturing environment.
- Strong project management, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate teams and maintain high safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Demonstrated potential and drive for upward mobility within the organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new systems.
