About the Role

PRL Industries is seeking an experienced Welder to join its manufacturing operations in Lebanon, PA. PRL produces precision castings that support critical naval and nuclear applications.

This is a hands-on welding position focused on the fabrication and repair of metal components in a high-quality manufacturing environment. Welders work from blueprints, drawings, and established weld procedures to produce components that meet demanding quality and compliance standards.

Candidates must have hands-on Stick and TIG welding experience and be prepared to complete a weld test during the onsite interview.

What You'll Do

  • Perform Stick and TIG welding to fabricate and repair metal components.
  • Follow established weld procedures and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and layout specifications.
  • Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subassemblies.
  • Verify completed work meets dimensional, quality, and structural requirements.
  • Perform dimensional inspections using standard measuring equipment.
  • Operate handheld grinders as required.
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Perform daily equipment maintenance checks.
  • Meet established quality assurance standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all safety policies, operating instructions, and procedures.

Must-Have Skills and Experience

(These are required for consideration.)

  • 3+ years of welding-related experience.
  • Hands-on SMAW/Stick welding experience.
  • Hands-on GTAW/TIG welding experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience following established weld procedures.
  • Ability to fit, position, align, and weld components to specification.
  • Ability and willingness to complete a weld test during the onsite interview.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work safely in a physically demanding industrial manufacturing environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills

(These are preferred but not required.)

  • Experience with FCAW and/or GMAW welding processes.
  • Associate degree, trade school, or advanced welding education.
  • Experience in heavy manufacturing, metals, fabrication, or a similar industrial environment.
  • Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Experience performing dimensional inspections using standard measuring equipment.
  • Experience working within formal quality assurance requirements.

Additional Details

  • Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday-Thursday, 3:00 PM–1:00 AM
  • Overtime: Available on Fridays
  • Pay Range: $24-$35/hour, based on experience + $3/hour shift differential
  • Weld Test: Candidates will complete a weld test during the onsite interview
  • Work Environment: Industrial shop environment with exposure to dust, fumes, metal debris, machinery, hazards, and shop noise
