As an HVAC Equipment Estimator, you will be responsible for computing costs associated with projects. This position is required to closely interact with the Account Manager and Project Manager and assigned project staff to ensure timely completion of each project. Additional responsibilities will include:
• Responsible for computing cost estimates for materials, purchased equipment, labor, and other construction-related activities to assist management in bidding on or determining price of project.
• Utilize blueprints and specifications and knowledge of construction industry to analyze project needs and compile cost estimates.
• Responsible for the take-off of equipment for proper size, configuration, voltage, options, etc.
• Select and price proper equipment per the plans and specifications.
• Create of preliminary proposal.
• Responsible for identifying possible cost savings and/or cost problems that will occur on various projects.
• Support sales and develop preliminary submittals as required.
• Maintain competitive advantage and stay abreast of industry trends.
• Maintain job-related supplied inventory by recording quantities required.
• Optimize expenses by negotiating prices with vendors for materials.
• Obtain discounts and enter discounts into LYNX.
• Document work by maintaining files for each job.
• Obtain and validate vendor quotes.
• Responsible for holding job pre-bid meeting and makes any necessary changes.
• Generate and distribute final proposal.

Position Details
Location: St Paul, MN
Salary: $45,000-$55,000/yr
Travel Requirements: Primarily working out of the office with minimal travel to client sites or training.
Schedule: M-F, 7am-4pm

Engineering Specialist (Bellevue, WA)

As an Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for hardware and software design activities for small building automation systems. You will apply engineering principles and practices for work on assigned projects. You will design cost effective control solutions to meet project requirements. Additional responsibilities will include:
• Responsible for design and programming activities utilizing direct digital controls.
• Responsible for the sequences of operation which meet the project requirements.
• Apply knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Generate Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
• Review contract documents and conduct job surveys.
• Create installation drawings, submittal drawings, as-built drawings, and transition to service.
• Review equipment submittals for incorporation into design.

Position Details

Salary: $70,000-$90,000 Base + 5-10% Bonus
Travel Requirements: Combination of field and office work. Average travel is 3 days overnight a month but it will take place in cycles and not on a routine monthly basis. Must have flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.

As a Project Manager, you will manage all aspects of control projects, from beginning to end, with direct responsibility for project execution while leading a team, or teams, to accomplish specific objectives in a given time frame and with available resources. You will also be responsible for the administration, implementation, and management of control projects and accountable for assigned project’s scope of work, schedule, and budget. Additional responsibilities will include:
• Plan and analyze assigned projects, establish schedules, and project parameters and set procedures to accomplish system objectives, involving complex contracting applications.
• Communicate with customers and their representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, subcontractors, and field support staff.
• Examine and review contracts and estimates by performing risk analysis and developing risk plans.
• Establish an operations budget for assigned projects by revising the original estimate based on validated project scope.
• Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the forecasted cost at completion and controlling expenses by monitoring assigned project budget.
• Create and revise project schedules including: generating tasks, estimates, dependencies; milestones, CPM Analysis; and Histogram Analysis.
• Prepare sub-contractor request for quotations (RFQ) including: scope statements; plans and milestone dates; specs; bonding requirements; and billing schedule of values.
• Receive and qualify subcontractor proposals; supervises work of project assigned staff, subcontractors and installers.
• Generate technician work orders: review plan; review progress; and prioritize tasks.
• Meet with contractors and owners to discuss scope of project; budgets; performance; and close-out.
• Support the sales function by assisting with quote preparation and proposals.
• Responsible for project cash-flow management: progress billing, collections support and monitoring, and resource management.
• Responsible for change order management by recommending solutions, facilitating quotes and closing orders.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff.

Salary: $70,000-$90,000/Annual + 5% Target Incentive Bonus (based on personal, company, and district metrics)
Travel Requirements: Primarily local travel to office and jobsites in the greater Seattle area; jobsites can extend to different areas across WA with occasional travel (1-2 Overnights/Month)

Position Description
As a BAS Control Technician, you will be installing (commissioning), troubleshooting, repairing, and programming environmental control systems. In order to perform your task, you will utilize your knowledge of electronics (board level troubleshooting), direct digital controls, airflow, hydronics, refrigeration theory, and building control techniques. Additional responsibilities will include:
• Responsible for end to end testing, programming, starting up, commissioning, and servicing on assigned projects.
• Set up the graphical interface and network connections for the controls.
• Represent the company by serving as the direct customer contact and responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, analyzing, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems at customer’s location.
