This is our Components Plant, where critical battery parts are manufactured to support the company's global battery production network. This facility produces high-quality plastic battery containers and covers, as well as proprietary PowerFrame® grids - the metal structures that serve as the backbone of every battery plate.

Union membership is optional after 100 days.



Plant Details

Plant Overview


This Components Plant manufactures and produces battery containers, covers, and PowerFrame® grids. The components made here are shipped to other facilities for battery assembly and final production. Key operations at this location include:

  • Injection Molding - where plastic components such as battery cases and covers are precision-molded to meet exact specifications.
  • Power Frame - where metal grids are produced through an advanced stamping or rolling process, forming the structural backbone of the battery plates.

Pay: $24.72/hr with overtime (1.5x pay for hours worked over 40 per week). Paid weekly on Fridays.


Shift Differential:

  • 12-hour Day Shift: +$0.45/hr
  • 12-hour Night Shift: +$1.00/hr

Shifts: 12-hour, 2-2-3 schedule (15 days per month) with every other weekend off.

  • Day Shift: 6:45am�7:15pm
  • Night Shift: 6:45pm�7:15am

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment
  • Perform startups, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting
  • Inspect products for defects and conduct quality checks
  • Maintain accurate production records and ensure safety standards are met
  • Support preventative maintenance and follow 5S practices

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1�2 years of manufacturing or production experience preferred
  • Willingness to learn injection molding; training provided
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift, bend, and twist safely
  • Basic math, reading, and computer skills
  • Comfortable working a 12-hour rotating schedule, including weekends

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Emphasis on safe work practices, adherence to LOTO procedures and use of PPE.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing machinery, conveyors, and robotics.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
  • May be required to set up and operate one or all of the following machines: lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinder, power saws, etc.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to assure maximum equipment functionality.
  • Adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Mechanical and electrical repair knowledge.
  • Understanding of motor control circuitry (VFDs, soft starts etc.).
  • Working experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical (120, 208, and 480 VAC circuits), and preventive maintenance in manufacturing.
  • Experience with conveyors, electronics, PLC hardware and ladder logic required.
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience preferred but is not a requirement.

  • Operate automated PowerFrame� grid machinery and powered industrial equipment
  • Monitor production, perform coil changes, and eliminate defective parts
  • Track raw material usage, scrap, and inefficiencies for reporting
  • Support machine die changes and preventative maintenance activities
  • Record all work completed in system work orders
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing improvements and cost reduction projects

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1�2 years of manufacturing or production experience preferred
  • Familiarity with powered industrial equipment (walkies, forklifts, etc.)
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift, bend, and twist safely
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Comfortable working a 12-hour rotating schedule, including weekends
