Tenneco is seeking a driven, self-motivated Engineering, Business, or Finance focused student who has an interest in gaining hands-on experience in Cost Estimating working at our Corporate facility in Grass Lake, Michigan. As a Tenneco Summer Corporate Cost Estimating Intern , you will be given the opportunity to learn about how our team analyzes and develops product cost calculations as baseline input for customer quotations and/or internal cost improvement activities. These calculations are created based on inputs from multiple functional groups throughout the organization. It is an excellent opportunity to become familiar with manufacturing processes, purchasing, finance, engineering, and program management. Required Skills: Required of an Intern: Must be able to travel throughout the term of the internship Must be able to work independently and in a team based environment Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Effective time management skills Proficient in Excel, PowerPoin t, and Word Minimum Qualifications: Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship period starting May 202 2 Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license Ability to provide own transportation to/from the job site Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship Preferred Qualifications: Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in manufacturing engineering , finance, or business from an accredited institution Ability to read blueprints and Bill of Materials a plus Data analytics and database experience | |
