Extensive knowledge of high-end culinary operations, to include menu development and wine selection (knowledge of spa cuisine a plus). The person must have a minimum of 3 years of culinary management experience in a role within a luxury hotel, restaurant, or resort. LANGUAGE SKILLS

WORK ENVIRONMENT Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions. Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the work place is usually loud. Frequent exposure to fumes, odors, and gases. Occasional exposure to dusts, mists and poor ventilation. Constant exposure to potential mechanical, electrical, burns and radiant energy hazards. Frequent exposure to toxic, caustic chemical hazards. Equipment Used in Job: Commercial kitchen equipment and cleaning agents Essential Functions:
• Ability to engage class participants. • Stays abreast of emerging food trends in the industry and recommends how they can be integrated into the Miraval’s nutritional and programming criteria. • Ability to create classes with thorough S.O.P.s that align with Miraval’s culinary food philosophy.
• Assists with marketing and public relations.
• Following the direction of the Executive Chef, the Program Chef coordinates and assists in the refinement of culinary programming policies, procedures, service protocols. • Coordinates with Culinary Leadership and Sales and Events Team to create Culinary/Dining Experiences for larger groups • Works with Culinary Leadership and Sales and Events Team to create meaningful and well organized programming for larger groups
• Maintains a neat, clean and orderly working spaces . • To ensure the demonstration kitchen is prepared at all times to pass any rigorous health inspection including Ecosure and to personally be Servsafe Certified.
