Sr. Analyst is responsible for supporting the strategic, economic and risk analysis evaluation related to the strategic planning process, market fundamentals and acquisitions, divestitures for the Power business unit (BU). If you have over 2 years experience in the related field, apply now!

What You Will Do:

Under the supervision and guidance of the Director, M&A and Strategy and the Technical Manager, Strategy & Fundamentals, the Sr. Analyst will be responsible for the following activities:
  • Support establishing the business case for new asset or portfolio acquisitions and/or divestment initiatives.
  • Provide project management support for ongoing acquisition or divestment processes.
  • Support the research of power industry fundamentals.
  • Track and report on relevant industry activity; maintain new acquisition opportunity database and other screening tools.
  • Interact optimally with personnel across the organization and externally.


Who You Are:

  • You possess a university degree with 2 or more years of relevant experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience would be considered.
  • Experience in business evaluation, strategy or research.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of North American power industry considered an asset
  • Prior experience in commercial development, acquisitions, consultancy, market research and/or operations of infrastructure assets would be beneficial.

Physical requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, prioritize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, coordinate and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
