We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented college student to join our team for the fall of 2024. The Carrier internship experience offers interns an environment that provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience, and the opportunity to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths in efforts to assist Carrier in achieving its business strategy. Are you currently enrolled in a college-level Mechanical Engineering program and looking for a part-time 12-week fall internship in 2024? Are you outgoing, eager to learn, and ready to earn? We can help you develop your technical, business, sales, leadership, and communication skills and provide insight into a Sales Engineering career in the HVAC industry. About this role The 2024 Fall Internship program will allow you to gain exposure to our nationwide Sales organization. You will become part of a local sales team, work on real-world projects, and be provided with mentorship from our Sales leaders. Key Responsibilities • Work directly with our industry-leading Sales Professionals and customers. • Gain an understanding of the design, application, and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings. This includes the world's most powerful line of building automation and controls products and services. • Be exposed to the many facets of Automated Logic's businesses: Service, Construction, Building Automation Checkout, Engineering, Programming/Graphics, Installation, and much more. You will attend sales meetings; business functions; sales and service calls; customer meetings alongside experienced account managers and mentors. • Learn the steps that Sales Engineers take from start to finish on a job and be hands-on in those steps throughout the internship. • Gain an appreciation for the importance of the relationship with our customers as you work with them as a daily point-of-contact creating a sense of ownership and importance in the solution-making process. • Learn and Apply HVAC, Construction, and Energy Management control applications. • Gain communication and project management skills, and sales and consulting experience. • Sales and Consulting Experience • Gain an understanding of the local Mechanical, Construction, and Engineering market. Required Qualifications • Pursuing Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering • GPA of 3.0 or higher • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship Preferred Qualifications Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include: • Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, majoring in Mechanical Engineering • Relevant coursework or previous internships preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Self-driven and proactive • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels • Ability to sit for long periods of time in traveling vehicle. • Relevant internship experience is preferred. • Team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects #EarlyCareer RSRCA Carrier is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
