Department Overview


The Technical Operations team for the Rave Product Lines has a critical role in fulfilling Motorola Solutions’ mission of keeping people connected and safe. We ensure the security and stability of our hosted products in collaboration with the Information Security, Engineering, and QA organizations on an active and ongoing basis, with a vision of a constantly improving process and technology base to support the populations that rely on us. We’re looking for people who bring enthusiasm to their roles and embrace the desire for continuous improvement in a fast paced environment.


Job Description


The Technical Operations Analyst will report directly to the Senior Director of Technical Operations and assume responsibility for overseeing all aspects of reporting and organization for the team. This role entails monitoring project progress, team productivity, documentation, and compliance operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with proficiency in Excel and the Google Drive Suite being essential. While a strong technical background would be advantageous, it is not mandatory. This position is suitable for an entry or early career professional who is proactive, self-motivated, and capable of upholding the established procedures and reporting standards set by Technical Operations management.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and enhance Technical Operations reporting on Uptime, Productivity, Root Cause sources, Environment Performance, and other relevant statistics in alignment with the guidance provided by the Senior Director of Technical Operations.
  • Collaborate with Technical Operations Management to update project status documentation through direct communication and status update meetings. Monitor project milestones and deliverables.
  • Manage and organize documentation repositories for all Technical Operations teams, ensuring adherence to a standardized documentation hierarchy as defined by Technical Operations Management. Encourage the use of templates and consistent information storage practices across all teams.
  • Monitor and escalate compliance activities as necessary. Maintain a calendar to keep track of important dates and create tickets, schedule meetings, and generate reports under the direction of Technical Operations management. Ensure compliance documentation is regularly updated by subject matter experts as required by Information Security.
  • Collaborate with Technical Operations Management to document and support workflows and processes within the Technical Operations group.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in reporting and organization, preferably in a technical environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Google Drive Suite.
  • Familiarity with technical concepts and terminology (preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
