Position Details Location: Fairmont, MN Pay: • $26.15-$29/hour • $2 shift differential Schedule: • Monday- Friday • 8-hour shift • 12pm-8:30pm • This position requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week and weekends as required. This position provides leadership and direction in loading and unloading techniques, receiving procedures, yard organization, inventory handling and control, yard vehicle maintenance, and the promotion of a safe working environment. You will report directly to the Yard Manager. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: • Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environment. • Facilitation of daily management and load planning meetings. • Immediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts, or injuries to Yard Manager. • Conduct cycle-counts. • Practice proper forklift and yard vehicle operation and preventive maintenance. • Facilitates product rotation. • Maintain yard housekeeping, organization and layout. • Assurance of maximized payloads. • Maintain and build job skills through company training programs. • Ensuring yard & plant policy compliance. • Communication with Dispatcher regarding relative issues. • Facilitates execution of departmental training. • Organization of daily loading sequence. • Minimization of loading errors. • Yard vehicle maintenance schedule compliance. • Maximization of shift labor efficiencies. • Minimization of shift overtime. • Finished Goods quality inspections. • Facilitate product conversions & corresponding documentation. • Confirmation of customer orders (ASN). • Management of CPUs and RMAs. • Understand and practice company core values. Position Requirements • Professionalism and leadership skills. • Familiarity with BOM products. • Time management and organizational skills. • Operating system functions including inventory & order entry procedures. • Communication skills. • Basic computer skills. • Knowledge of all company products. • Freight management. • Inventory management. • Receiving procedures. • Mathematical skills. • Knowledge of local shipping regulations. • Forklift & Yard Dog driving skills. • High School Diploma or equivalent. • 3-5 years of experience as a Yard Loader preferred. • Leadership experience preferred. • Class A CDL preferred. • Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time in fluctuating temperatures. • Position requires full range of body motion including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting and ability to mount/dismount industrial equipment and vehicles. • Ability to stand and be mobile throughout an 8-hour shift. • Ability to use hands, arms and legs to physically handle and transport finished goods. • Equipment operator experience. • Large 1500 front end loader type forklifts experience • Outdoors experience. | |
