Position Overview: Siemens Mobility is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented leader to join our team as the Brightline Maintenance Manager in Orlando, FL. In this crucial role, you will lead and drive the efficient and cost-effective maintenance of the customer’s modern train sets, ensuring their reliability, safety, and optimal performance. You will possess a strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, 5S or kaizen methodologies, coupled with outstanding leadership and management skills to guide and develop a diverse team of rail technicians. The successful candidate will be comfortable in working in a matrix organization. This role reports directly to the Senior Service Operations Manager and will work closely with the Project Manager for Brightline. The Project Manager has responsibility for the overall P&L for the project and will require tight coordination and synchronization with the Maintenance Manager’s day to day responsibilities. The Senior Service Operations Manager will provide functional supervision and is available as an escalation path to address issues that are not resolved at the Maintenance Manager level. What your day-to-day will look like: • Promote a Zero Harm culture through the development, implementation, review, and communication of EH&S Policies and Procedures. • Operate and promote a safe working environment: Responsible for the reporting of Near Misses, and accidents/incidents for root cause analysis. • Lead and empower a team of maintenance technicians: Motivate and encourage your team to achieve performance goals while fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and collaboration. • Create, document, and implement the Siemens onsite maintenance and operation programs. • Schedule and coordinate preventive- and corrective maintenance and overhaul activities: Implement lean principles to optimize resource allocation, workflow, and minimize downtime. • Monitor and require strict adherence to FRA regulations: Prioritize safe work practices for the team and all individuals collaborating with maintenance operations. • Hire, onboard, and develop new members to the maintenance team: Coordinate trainings and support the implementation of an apprenticeship program to upskill and cultivate talent within the organization. • Lead team performance: Provide constructive feedback, continuous improvement, coaching, measurable results, a culture of accountability and implement strategies to enhance individual and team effectiveness. • Develop strong and successful relationships with aligned customer stakeholders: Ensure assigned Siemens Field Service team can support both the customers operational goals and Siemens Maintenance Service Agreement targets. • Collaborate & support the interface(s) between Siemens Field Service team, the Reliability and Maintenance Performance (RAMP) and Supply Chain Management. The base salary range for this position in Orlando, FL is $120,300-$162,400 and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary.
