Position Details: Title: Mechanical Technician (Mechanic) Location: Kansas City, KS Shift: Two options. Either a traditional Mon.-Fri. 7am-3:30pm shift - OR - a 12-hour day (7am-7pm) or night (7pm-7am) on a 2-on, 2-off, 3-on followed by a 2-off, 2-on, 3-off bi-weekly schedule where you work 14 days per month and get every other weekend off! All training takes place on normal day shift schedule. Compensation: $36/hr. starting base rate + $1.00 shift bonus for nights worked + optional completely voluntary O/T + up to 10% quarterly bonus + up to $1K sign-on to help offset any relocation. Travel: None Position Description: Maintenance Technicians primarily troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production systems and equipment. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install all mechanical - mostly pneumatic and some hydraulic equipment and systems in the plant to insure smooth operation, production, & safe working conditions. Key duties include: • Troubleshooting & solving production and facility equipment problems during day-to-day operations. • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment & systems to prevent downtime/deterioration. • Work assignments on projects for continued growth, expansion, & safety of the plant and work areas. • Work with outside contractors to perform installation or service of equipment within the facility. • Assisting operators to minimize downtime and complete scheduled equipment cleaning/changeovers. Requirements: HS Diploma/GED. Candidates must be maintenance professionals with 2+ years industrial mechanical experience troubleshooting & repairing industrial systems. Strong pneumatics and power transmission experience required with basic hydraulics. You will be fixing long conveyor systems, motors, pumps, valves, gear boxes, drive chains, pulleys, fasteners, linear bearings, sprockets, rollers, and drive belts on production line equipment and systems. Candidates must be able to read schematics, blueprints, drawings for maintenance/troubleshooting/repair with ability to share skills to help others develop, excellent communication skills, and commitment to providing a high level of detail, pride, and safety towards system & equipment maintenance work, projects, and programs.
