In this role, you will be responsible for supporting customers with on-site service, technical support, and on-site training.     Description

    In this role you will be responsible for supporting customers with on-site service, technical support and on-site training. Primary functions of this position are commissioning new equipment; preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of existing

    • Programming and commissioning of Control Systems and Integration with other systems related to building automation.
    • Be well-versed in multiple controls systems as they may be on a different site each day based on the service calls that come in on a daily basis.
    • Communicate directly with the customer in order to satisfy the needs regarding the specifics of what is required to solve the issue on a particular site.
    • Document the services performed on a service call on a FSR (Field Service Report) with details of what the service call consisted of and to document if the call is complete or will require a follow up visit.
    • Replace failed parts, controllers, wire, relays and devices as required. 
    • Maintain a good disposition with the customers and deal with them in a courteous manner at all times.
    • Verify devices, panels and annunciators of controls projects.
    • Ensure timely software backups are created for projects and software development.
    • Complete time sheets, service work orders, and other paperwork required for this position in an accurate and timely manner.

    Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:

    in order to be successful in this role:

    • You should have good electrical, electronic and/or mechanical aptitude, to include troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of such equipment and systems as AC/DC motors, industrial controls, compressors, backup generators, etc.  
    • You should also have a clear ability to work with electronic equipment such as volt meters, amp meters, oscilloscopes, etc; he ability to troubleshoot basic electric and electronic circuitry, including reading and interpreting electrical and electronic diagrams; and a working understanding of AC power circuitry including breakers, multi-phase power, etc (120VAC).  You must be comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces.  And you must be service-minded and customer-focused.

    We are currently looking for a Level A Diesel Technician who can fully diagnose and repair Medium to Heavy Duty International Trucks.

    DUTIES
    • Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic test, identifying worn and damaged parts focusing on safety, quality, and customer up time.
    • Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES
    • Provide technical service to

    • Perform general and detailed repair
      of all trucks, engines, and components.

      additional repair work is necessary
    • Tag all warranty parts and returns
      to warranty clerk.

      procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for
      working safely and seeks assistance when necessary.
    • Attend training classes and keep
      abreast of factory technical bulletins

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
    • High
      school diploma or GED is required. Combination of education, training, or
      experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be
      considered.
    • Related
      technical school training preferred.
    • Three
      to five years of commercial truck technical service experience.
    • Engine
      certifications preferred: Cummins, Detroit, International, etc.
    • Necessary
      tools to perform job responsibilities
    • Ability
      to work and learn independently.
    • Strong
      written/ verbal communication skills required.
    • Ability
      to use various windows-based computer software. Experience with engine software
      a plus
    • Valid
      commercial driver’s license preferred.
