We are seeking a Testing Technician – Switchgear to perform final inspection, testing, commissioning, and quality verification of custom-manufactured power distribution equipment. This hands-on position ensures electrical equipment meets customer specifications and quality standards before shipment, supporting critical infrastructure applications including hospitals, data centers, utilities, transportation, and industrial facilities.
This position is ideal for candidates with electrical testing, industrial electrical, power distribution, commissioning, switchgear, or military electrical backgrounds who enjoy troubleshooting complex electrical systems and ensuring equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify Bills of Material (BOM), read and interpret electrical schematics, inspect wiring, and perform mechanical inspections.
  • Record serial numbers, apply identification labels, install breakers, and complete equipment interconnections.
  • Set up, ground, and operate electrical test equipment.
  • Perform DC, AC, current, dielectric, and functional testing.
  • Complete testing requirements for emergency power systems.
  • Upload and configure PLC, SCADA, and protective relay programs.
  • Configure communication devices and perform basic PLC and SCADA program edits.
  • Document testing results and maintain quality records.
  • Take equipment photographs and complete required test documentation.

Description

Seeking a Commissioning Field Manager to lead commissioning activities on large-scale mission-critical projects, including hyperscale data centers and advanced infrastructure facilities. This role is ideal for technically strong leaders who have progressed from hands-on electrical, mechanical, controls, commissioning, critical facilities, semiconductor, automation, or military technical backgrounds and are looking to move into project leadership. You will oversee field execution, coordinate contractors and vendors, manage project teams, and serve as the primary onsite contact for clients throughout the commissioning process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead onsite commissioning and functional testing activities
  • Direct contractors, vendors, and commissioning personnel
  • Review construction documents, drawings, and system sequences
  • Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and test scripts
  • Coordinate project schedules, manpower, and resources
  • Identify and resolve technical and project execution issues
  • Serve as primary client contact during commissioning activities
  • Prepare commissioning reports and project documentation
  • Support startup, validation, troubleshooting, and turnover activities

  • Experience leading teams, projects, or field operations
  • Ability to read drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Willingness to travel extensively and support long-term project assignments
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
