Overview

X-Ray Welders are Skilled Structural Welders that can fabricate a weld without defects to undergo a radiographic X-ray inspection.

The Function: This position encompasses welding on Sub safe/Hull integrity joints according to weld procedures and quality standards.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Weld in all welding positions and on various joint designs

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.

Ability to perform carpentry-type duties to include use of manual tools, power tools, and building of containments.

Read and interpret documents as necessary, such as operating and maintenance manuals, safety rules and regulations, procedure manuals, etc.

May prepare molds and templates for fabrication of hull treatment.

Maintain a clean work environment where coatings work is being performed.

Granite State Manufacturing is seeking CNC Machinists for our Manchester, NH location. This position will be responsible for the operation of large Doosan CNC VTL machines to make large parts with complex features and tight tolerances in support of our Aerospace, Maritime, & Defense customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Read blueprints, specifications, and work instructions to set up machines, measure parts, load materials, clean tools, etc. to produce finished products according to specifications.
  • Prepare parts by using measuring devices such as swinge gages, dial bores, micrometers, calipers, or dial calipers to determine dimensions of parts.
  • Feed raw materials or components into machine tools by using overhead cranes.
  • Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Measures, marks, and scribes' dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.
  • Selects, aligns, and secures fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials.
  • Calculates and sets control to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.

About the Opportunity

As a Class A Welder, you’ll perform advanced welding operations across multiple processes, including GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), and GMAW (MIG) on a range of materials such as stainless steel, HY-80/100, and other marine-grade alloys.

Granite State Manufacturing is seeking CNC Machinists for our Manchester, NH location. This position will be responsible for the operation of large Doosan CNC VTL machines to make large parts with complex features and tight tolerances in support of our Aerospace, Maritime, & Defense customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read blueprints, specifications, and work instructions to set up machines, measure parts, load materials, clean tools, etc. to produce finished products according to specifications.
  • Prepare parts by using measuring devices such as swinge gages, dial bores, micrometers, calipers, or dial calipers to determine dimensions of parts.
  • Feed raw materials or components into machine tool by using overhead cranes.
  • Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Measures, marks, and scribes' dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.
  • Selects, aligns, and secures fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials.
  • Calculates and sets control to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
  • Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
