The successful candidate will have a B.S. in Welding Engineering Technology, or Metallurgical Engineering. Will?consider?a four (4) year trade school graduate to work hand's on in the engineering group and will transition into a lead weld engineer position.

  • Provides technical direction to welding analysts, welding technicians, manufacturing personnel, and project engineering personnel. 
  • Manage time, skills, and resources to produce maximum volume of work and reduction of errors. 
  • Observes safety regulations and exhibits a concern for safety.

Computer Skills:

Excellent computer skills required. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as WORD, Excel, Outlook, Project, and Power Point, and of ERP systems.


Other Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of the company systems, processes and products, with the technical capability of analyzing administrative and technical requirements and applying equipment and technology to satisfy contract needs.   • You will work with customers to electrically/mechanically troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of commercial food equipment to include cooking, food preparation, ware washers, weigh wrap, baking and refrigeration.
  • You will typically leave from home each morning and work with minimal direct supervision at customer sites.
  • You will meet or surpass weekly productivity and customer-oriented goals while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • An accredited High School Diploma or GED and 4-6 years of similar electrical/mechanical experience
  • You must have a valid Driver’s License and ability to drive multiple hours daily
  • You should be able to work Overtime and On-Call as required
  • You must be able to attend our industry leading training at our corporate headquarters in Troy, OH

Position Summary:
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers while performing thorough installations, repairs, preventative maintenance, and product enhancement activities on complex diagnostic instrumentation and systems. This role is key to ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and optimal performance of all supported equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide customer support through on-site installations, cost-effective repairs, preventative maintenance, and product upgrades on diagnostic instruments and systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, analyzing failures and implementing corrective actions to ensure instrument reliability.
  • Deliver high levels of customer service to maintain strong customer relationships and ensure satisfaction.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams, demonstrating professionalism, commitment, and clear communication.
  • Escalate unresolved technical issues appropriately and follow up to resolution.

  • Working knowledge of personal computers and Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems and network connectivity preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and participate in rotational on-call coverage as required.

Requirements:

• Field service or maintenance experience with heavy-duty or industrial machinery

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; must be comfortable traveling frequently within the assigned region
