Position Description:

The Field Engineer, Power Delivery role, will provide direction and assistance to the work group to meet assigned objectives. Responsibility includes performing installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on electrical distribution equipment.

• Provide knowledge of and conduct work activities in compliance with the company HSE
(Health, Safety and Environment), Company Way, and Safety Manual & Safety policy always.
• Be responsible for hands-on execution of projects including Startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of Power Delivery equipment in respective area; Power Delivery includes transformers, switchgear, OCBs, Circuit
• Breakers, busways, UPS, ATS, PLCs, Relays, Power Management Controls systems and other Power related equipment & controls.
• Lead outages with other field engineers, technicians, and contractors including project management, lead site engineer or site project manager. Perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheet, and expense sheets on a complete timely,and thorough basis.

Requirements:

Job Description

Position Details:

• Title: Installation Field Service Technician
• Location: Charlotte, NC (reside within 50 miles)
• Shift: Monday - Friday
• Compensation: $25-28/hr + OT (on average 10 hours a week)
• Benefits: 401K, MED/DEN/VIS plus more Company vehicle while travelling and meals/lodging paid for via company credit card
• Travel: Typically, 2-3 nights a week within the Southeast region. Expect to spend work 3 to 4 weekends a year.

Position Description:
As an Installation Field Service Technician you will be providing service and customer support during field visits or dispatches, diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions, identifying opportunities and presenting customer with a range of options from equipment upgrades or replacements, to new value-added services. When not performing work at customer sites during normal work hours, you will work at the Charlotte offices.

• Inspection of hydraulic equipment to ensure proper installation and operation within expected parameters.
• Provide routine maintenance on equipment and assist in establishing preventative maintenance schedules with customer.
• Basic component analysis and repairs to include pipefitting, assembly, repairing leaks, flushing, filtration, and start-up assistance.
• Complex mechanical system analysis and repair to include data acquisition, mechanical system tuning, secondary pump controls, project planning, and specification of component replacement.

Requirements:
• Great fit for Navy MMs, Aircraft Mechanics or any Military candidates with a mechanical background.
• Hiring manager is looking for candidates with a mechanical aptitude. Experience with hydraulics is a plus but not necessary.
