Maintenance Technician

Southeast
US Navy, E-5

I get out of the Navy, where I was a Nuclear Electrician's Mate, Second Class, on August 11th and began using Orion around February. I think that I gained an immense amount of electrical experience and people skills while serving in the Navy.  Supervisor positions require the experience and interpersonal communication skills that I obtained during my six years of service.

My recruiter was John Teague.  He treated me wonderfully and respected my requirements for potential jobs.  I was very specific about the field, location, a well as salary. With this in mind, John only approached me with opportunities that met my expectations, unlike some other recruiting agencies that I worked with.

John set me up for the Atlanta hiring conference and selected three companies for me to interview with.  The first day was all introductions to the companies, as well as the Orion members.  That evening, I interviewed with one company.  The following day, I completed my two remaining interviews.  I told John my preferences for the companies I interviewed with, and he gave me great feedback on my interview performance.

From that conference, I was hired by Pepsi Bottling group as the Production Supervisor at the Atlanta plant. I was quite surprised by the position I acquired with Pepsi.  My initial interview was for a technician position; however at the closing of my interview, I was asked to go to the site and complete a second interview for a supervisor position instead.

I am very grateful to John, as well as Matt Skinner, who both helped me significantly during the negotiation process following my interview.  I would highly recommend Orion to anyone who is seeking job placement assistance.
